What comes into your mind when the first time you see Logitech ConferenceCam Connect? This conference cam looks like a tube. Even though it looks like a tube, it has a simple design but is still elegant with a combination of silver and black. Its compact build makes it easy to move around from one place to another.
The camera of this conference cam is hidden away under its remote. Yes, Logitech has cleverly designed the Connect to store its remote in the camera cut-out area, protecting the camera lens while in transit or storage. This camera cut out area also houses some of its LEDs and also the battery level indicator. The remote is designed with a rubberized soft-touch finish. It works to mute, make/answer calls, end calls, volume control, zoom in & out, and also to pan the camera. When the remote is not in use we can just snap back it to the place.
In the back of the Connect, there are some ports for connectivity, namely a USB port for charging, one HDMI port, a Kensington lock, and a power port.
On the top of the conference cam, there are touch-sensitive controls. In the middle is the power button. Surrounding it are buttons to enable Bluetooth mode, video conferencing mode, and also wireless screen mirror mode. While at the base of the speaker, there is a circle LED light as the indicator for the different status of this cam.
Logitech ConferenceCam Connect is an all-in-one portable video conferencing solution with an innovative design and purpose-built for use in small and medium-sized spaces. It is compatible with PCs, Chromebooks and Macs for video conferencing, and mobile connectivity for screen-mirror projection. Windows and Android users can also wirelessly connect their devices to the Connect to view presentations, spreadsheets, and videos. Apart from Bluetooth, it also has Near Field Communication (NFC) to make device pairing a breeze. In addition, with this solution, you can also display internet content from mobile devices to the TV screen via HDMI. The Connect connects to the screen automatically, making it easy for users to use it right away without having to bother with annoying additional steps such as selecting a TV input.
This camera offers a sharp and detailed visual display so users can clearly see objects and everyone in the room. It has a viewing area of 90 degrees and features a digital pan and tilt, mechanical tilt, 4x digital Full HD zoom, and a ZEISS glass lens with autofocus.
There’s also a speakerphone that supports audio calls from cellphones and USB. Featuring 360-degree audio, users within a 12-foot diameter range can hear and be heard clearly, while the full-duplex sound, acoustic echo and noise-cancelling technology features of the Connect make you feel as if you are face to face with your interlocutors.
The Connect allows users to work more flexibly from anywhere thanks to its ability to be operated by relying on electricity or batteries. In full battery conditions, users can use it for video conferencing for up to 3 hours, or use the speakerphone for up to 15 hours.
This conference cam works with most video conferencing systems (Cisco Jabber and WebEx, Citrix GoToMeeting, Blue Jeans, Google Meet, Lifesize, Microsoft Lync and Skype, Vidyo, Zoom, etc.), ensuring compatibility with a wide range of UC platforms and most common desktop video conferencing programs. So, you have the freedom to use the application of your choice.
We recommend using Logitech ConferenceCam Connect, if you need a camera for small-sized or medium-sized meeting rooms for up to 6 people. Its 360-degree audio makes your meeting experience a lot better compared to typical forward-facing audio systems.
